Accreditation is a review process conducted by ABET and CEAB to determine if an educational program meets defined standards of quality. For Nebraska, the education component of licensure is satisfied by graduation from a program accredited by ABET’s Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) or CEAB.
Please note that EAC/ABET or CEAB accreditation occurs at the program level, not at the university or college level.
Nebraska does not accept Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission (ETAC/ABET), Applied and Natural Science Accreditation Commission (ANSAC/ABET), or Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC/ABET) accredited programs to be sufficient for licensure.
