Daniel Thiele, P.E. of Omaha, Nebraska, is a licensed professional civil engineer with 30 years of experience in geotechnical and materials engineering. He joined the Nebraska Board of Engineers and Architects in 2018, and he has served in two leadership positions, as a former secretary and Board's Vice-Chair. Thiele is a graduate of the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering.
Thiele is licensed in over 20 states. His additional expertise includes geotechnical, material, environmental, and structural engineering projects across the Midwest regions and design services for earth retention systems, such as permanent retaining walls and temporary construction support, across the continental US.
Before joining the Board, Thiele was the president of the Professional Engineers Coalition and the Sarpy County Economic Development Corporation.
He also served on numerous civic and professional organizations, such as the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Civil Engineering Advisory Board, Nebraska Society of Professional Engineers Education Foundation, and the Board of Skutt Catholic High School. Thiele currently serves as a Trustee for the University of Nebraska Foundation.
