On March 13, 2020, NCEES canceled the April 2020 paper-and-pencil PE/SE exams across the United States due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Examinees who were registered to take the April 2020 exam will receive an automatic full refund of all fees paid to NCEES. Exams offered only once a year during the April 2020 administration will be offered during the October 2020 administration.
Currently, the opening registration date for the October PE/SE Exams is June 15, 2020. This date is subject to change. Any additional information will be emailed directly to affected examinees.
If you were registered for the April 2020 exam, you do not need to re-apply through the Nebraska Board of Engineers and Architects, as your approval is valid for four attempts. However, you will need to re-register through NCEES when the registration date opens.
Pearson VUE center has also announced they will be closed until April 16. Computer-based testing (CBT) examinees with appointments between March and April 16 will need to request a wavier fee to reschedule.
